The NT Cut Flower Group has strong collaborative links with the NT Department of Business, Industry and Resource Development (NTDBIRD) to conduct research into all aspects of cut flower management, and the development of better hybrid varieties.

The group is currently undertaking a 3 year research program to determine water requirements of Heliconias, as well as to determine “best practice” watering techniques.
